Etymos is a mission-aligned public benefit corporation partnering with Civitas ID.
Civitas ID gives displaced and marginalized people recognized digital credentials proving their identity, work history, education, and financial reputation.
Etymos builds the AI-powered analytics that help banks and employers assess risk and make faster, fairer decisions about serving displaced and marginalized populations: identity assurance that confirms the person presenting credentials is who they claim to be, credit risk scores based on alternative data like phone payments and community records, and intent modeling that predicts whether someone will actually engage with a product.
This is the commercial bridge between a population that has been excluded and the institutions that want to reach them but cannot assess the risk.

We're a team of entrepreneurs with experience building and scaling companies across fintech and financial services (Varo Bank, American Express, Money2020, Wisetack, Medici, Lending Club), credit risk (Vantage Score, Nova Credit), digital identity (Prove, ProofSpace), and international development (Street Child).
